08:43 AM EDT, 08/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Volkswagen (VOW.F) is close to securing a partnership in India with an unnamed local player, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing the CEO of the carmaker's Skoda brand, Klaus Zellmer. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a Skoda event in India, Zellmer said talks with the potential local partner are ongoing and that he is confident a deal can be finalized in 2026.
