12:04 PM EDT, 08/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Flughafen Zürich (FHZN.SW) confirmed that there was a partial outage of an apron control system at the airport earlier on Wednesday, but the issue is now resolved. In a same-day emailed response to MT Newswires, a spokesperson said Zurich Airport's arrival capacity is no longer reduced, and operations have returned to normal in the afternoon. The company ruled out a cyberattack as the cause of the system failure as it continues to investigate the matter. "As a result of the partial failure, there were 26 delays ranging from 3 to 45 minutes by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Subsequent delays cannot be ruled out as the evening progresses," the spokesperson noted.
