On August 20, TenPay Global, a cross-border payment platform owned by Tencent, and ShopeePay announced a partnership to promote cross-border QR code payment connectivity. The first phase of the service is open to ShopeePay users in Singapore and Thailand, with subsequent plans to gradually cover markets such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. After coming to China, Southeast Asian users only need to open ShopeePay or use the wallet function in the ShopeeApp, scan the WeChat Pay merchant receipt code, or show the payment code to the merchant to spend at tens of millions of WeChat Pay merchants in China.
