02:58 AM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Banco Santander (SAN.MC, BNC.L) completed the acquisition of Webster Financial on Thursday, according to a same-day release. The Spanish lender agreed to acquire the US retail and commercial bank in a $12.2 billion deal in February.
