Anthropic PBC's plan to allow enterprise customers to maintain greater control over their data while using its most powerful artificial intelligence models is a major shift to early data retention policies — which were initially designed to prevent potential cyber attacks. According to people familiar with the matter, the Claude chatbot developer is expected to launch a new security system later this year. The system will still require enterprise customers to keep their data for 30 days, but will allow customers to choose to keep the data on their own cloud computing infrastructure instead of Anthropic's servers. The system has been in preparation for several months.
