11:12 PM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Holcim (HOLN.SW) said Thursday it agreed to acquire Fermacell, a Dusseldorf, Germany-based sustainable walling and flooring solutions provider, in a deal valued at 840 million euros. The Swiss building materials supplier is purchasing the business from fiber cement producer James Hardie Industries. Completion is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals. With operations in 13 markets across Europe, Fermacell's addition is expected to be EPS-accretive for Holcim from the first year of acquisition.
