According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Tobacco Hong Kong (06055) announced interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, with revenue of HK$7.54 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 26.9%; profit attributable to shareholders of HK$627 million, a year-on-year decrease of 11.2%; basic profit per share of HK$0.91; and proposed to distribute an interim dividend of HK$0.19 per share.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the Group's tobacco product imports were 69,429 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28,452 tons, a decrease of 29.1%; operating income of HK$4.999 billion, a year-on-year decrease of HK$3.4 billion, a decrease of 40.5%; and gross profit of HK$544 million, a year-on-year decrease of HK$143 million, or 20.8%. The decline in performance was mainly affected by factors such as international trade relations and the pace of shipping. The amount of tobacco leaves imported from the US and other regions during this period decreased compared to the same period last year.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the Group's tobacco products exports were 42,563 tons, an increase of 10.6%; operating income of HK$1,765 million, up HK$609 million, or 52.7%; gross profit of HK$101 million, an increase of HK$38.2 million, or 60.6%. The increase in performance is mainly due to (1) actively expanding new supply channels and continuously promoting business expansion in non-exclusive business regions, and recording year-on-year growth in tobacco leaf product exports; and (2) effectively connecting both sides of supply and demand, strengthening value-added service capabilities, and enhancing the profitability of the tobacco leaf product export business.
