Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband is also reportedly considering an expansion of existing human rights sanctions as well as an explicit endorsement of a nonbinding 2024 opinion by the International Court of Justice that Israel's occupation of Palestine is unlawful. Miliband is expected to outline the UK government's stance toward Israel at the United Nations General Assembly in September, according to the report.
