Boeing Engineers Threaten to Strike After Rejecting Proposed Contract From Management

06:58 AM EDT, 08/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing (BCO.F) professionals and technicians, represented by the SPEEA union, are ready to strike if the US planemaker does not propose "significant improvements" to their contract, the union said Aug. 21. Members of the engineers' union turned down the contract offered by Boeing. The union will survey members to determine their requirements for accepting Boeing's offer. Boeing did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
