The joint venture now informs the company that the Singapore High Court Appeals Division (court) has issued a judgment (this ruling) today, and the court has partially approved the appeal and determined that the bank received an amount of about 76.1 million yuan. The court also ordered the bank to obtain an appeal cost of P50,000.
Accordingly, the Board of Directors also hereby informs its shareholders and interested investors that, according to the Company's current data, the Group is expected to record an associated company loss of approximately HK$126 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026 (this period), while a profit of HK$3 million was recorded for the six months ended June 30, 2025 (the previous period). The associated company has sufficient financial resources to deal with this judgment, and the Company does not anticipate that the judgment will have any significant impact on the Group's business, asset value, or financial position.
Following the announcement of the profit warning and issuance of the judgment, the Group is expected to record a comprehensive loss of approximately HK$570 million attributable to the Company's unaudited shareholders during the current period, compared to a comprehensive profit of HK$199 million in the previous period. The changes were mainly due to the losses of the participating joint ventures mentioned above and the losses of the owned joint ventures as described in the profit warning announcement.
