11:59 PM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- A consortium led by Veolia Environnement's (VIE.PA) Soval, with Eiffage (FGR.PA) companies and architectural firm Hobo, secured a 148 million-euro design-build contract for a new energy-recovery facility in Limoges, France. Limoges Métropole is commissioning the project, according to a Monday release. Upon completion, the facility will process 95,000 tonnes of waste and generate 110 gigawatt-hours of steam and 45 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually. Eiffage Génie Civil, which has a 34 million-euro share of the contract, is in charge of earthworks, roads and utilities, as well as the construction of administrative buildings, among others. Meanwhile, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes will provide installation services under a 33 million-euro subcontract. Work on the project will start in early 2027, with commissioning scheduled for 2029.
