10:38 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- US private equity giants Apollo Global Management and KKR and Australia-based IFM Investors have been shortlisted as potential buyers of a 64% stake in Associated British Ports, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter. Selling shareholders Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Omers Administration, which own stakes in AB Ports of 33.9% and 30%, respectively, are reportedly seeking a transaction that would value the UK's largest port operator at 10 billion pounds sterling. The bidding is ongoing and any potential deal may still fall through, the sources reportedly said. Apollo, KKR, IFM and AB Ports did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
