11:18 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (ABEA.F) Waymo said Tuesday it is launching its autonomous ride-hailing services in Germany, starting with manual operations in Munich in the coming weeks. The autonomous-driving technology company will take a phased approach, beginning with high-definition mapping of local street networks and test drives with trained autonomous specialists behind the wheel. Waymo plans to launch its autonomous system, the Waymo Driver, for commercial ride-hailing in Munich toward the end of 2027.
