12:00 AM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's Ratings raised the long-term issuer rating of Evonik Industries (EVK.F) to Baa1 from Baa2, citing expectations that the company's credit metrics will be in line with the higher rating. In a Wednesday note, the rating agency attributed the bullish forecast to the structural improvement in the German chemical company's earnings profile, as well as its more flexible dividend policy. It added that the upgrade also reflects expectations of improvement in the resilience of the company's portfolio. Meanwhile, Moody's revised its outlook on the rating to stable from positive, citing expectations that the company's credit metrics will remain within the criteria of the new rating despite a challenging macro environment.
