AbbVie Seeks European Regulatory Nod to Use Skyrizi as Subcutaneous Induction for Crohn's Disease Treatment

03:39 AM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AbbVie (ABBV.VI) filed an application to allow Skyrizi as a subcutaneous induction to treat moderately to severely active Crohn's disease in adult patients. The submission to the European Medicines Agency was based on the pharmaceutical company's Affirm phase 3 study, which reviewed Skyrizi's safety and efficacy as an induction treatment, according to a Thursday release. The approval will let Skyrizi be used as an injection or IV infusion for Crohn's disease treatment.
