On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had profit of $4.62.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 33 cents per share.

The operator of digital commerce platform posted revenue of $1.17 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.11 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $1.93 billion, or $5.53 per share. Revenue was reported as $4.26 billion.

For the current quarter ending in September, Affirm Holdings said it expects revenue in the range of $1.19 billion to $1.22 billion.

Affirm Holdings shares have increased 4% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $77.49, declining slightly in the last 12 months.
