Zhitong Financial App News, Yingen Bio-B (09606) announced that on August 27, 2026, the company signed a cooperation and licensing agreement (cooperation agreement) with Genentech, Inc. (Genentech), a member company of the Roche Group, to develop next-generation antibody-conjugated drugs (ADCs) for several tumor indications based on the company's proprietary Yingen unique payload antibody conjugation (DUPAC) platform. According to the terms of the cooperation agreement, the company will lead the discovery and early global clinical development of cooperative projects. Genentech will obtain an exclusive global license for the ADC generated by the collaboration, and after phase 1a clinical development is completed, Genentech will assume sole responsibility for further clinical development and commercialization.

Under the partnership agreement, the Company will receive an initial payment of $45 million and will be eligible to receive potential development, regulatory and commercialization milestone payments totaling more than $1 billion for all cooperative projects. Furthermore, the Company will have the right to charge tiered royalties for the annual net sales of approved products resulting from the cooperation.

The board believes that the cooperation agreement will enable the company to respond to the growing unmet medical needs of cancer patients whose tumors are resistant or difficult to treat in the payload categories currently relied upon by approved ADCs. The company established DUPAC (a novel mechanistic payload family to overcome payload resistance) to address these challenges and enable each ADC project to expand the breadth of relevant tumor biology. By combining the company's payload innovation and early global clinical development capabilities with Genentech's deep oncology expertise and global development coverage, the partnership will enable the two parties to advance collaborative projects at a faster pace and on a larger scale, and bring differentiated medicines to more patients around the world.

DUPAC is our proprietary ADC payload platform with a novel mechanism of action. It is one of the four ADC technology platforms developed by the company. The other three are DITAC, DIMAC, and DIBAC. DUPAC covers a variety of payloads, including DUP5, DUP9, and DUP10, each acting through unique anti-tumor mechanisms. Preclinical data for DUP5-based ADCs and DUP9-based ADCs (including activity in tumor models that are relatively insensitive to topoisomerase inhibitor payloads and tolerability in non-human primates) have been presented at various medical conferences, including AACR 2025 (abstract 5454), AACR-NCI-EORTC international conference 2025 (abstract B129 and abstract B130), and AACR 2026 (abstract 2657).
