11:55 PM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Assicurazioni Generali (G.MI) said Thursday it commenced a thorough evaluation of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena's (BMPS.MI) unsolicited takeover proposal for wealth manager Banca Generali (BGN.MI). The Italian insurance company added that it will assess the business, economic, and value implications of the proposal in line with the group's related-party transaction procedure.
