12:16 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's maintained the A1 long-term local and foreign currency deposit rating of Banque Saudi Fransi (SASE:1050), citing expectations that the bank will remain resilient amid financial pressure from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. In a Thursday note, the rating agency said it expects the Saudi Arabia-based lender to withstand the pressure on the back of strong capital, provisioning and liquidity buffers. It also highlighted "very high probability of support" for the bank from the Saudi Arabian government as among the factors for the affirmation. Moody's kept its stable outlook on the rating, citing confidence in the bank's ability to sustain strong asset quality, capital and profitability.
