
The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 28, Tencent Hybrid will officially release the Hy4 preview of the new generation big model. The model has a total parameter of 770B, an activation parameter of 49B, and a context length of 1M. The model size, context length, and data scale have all been significantly expanded. The combined progress of pre-training and post-training has greatly improved the level of intelligence, and has remained in the first tier of open source models.
Hy4 preview has made significant improvements in the four major scenarios of software engineering, office analysis, game development, and scientific research. By collaborating with Tencent's internal expert team to build high-quality data, the model has deeply collaborated with products such as CodeBuddy and WorkBuddy. Internal blind testing showed that the overall performance of Hy4 Preview was slightly better than GLM-5.3 and KiMI K3. More specifically:
Software engineering: enhance the ability to understand, plan, debug and verify long-term development tasks, and further improve the visual aesthetic and interactive quality of front-end development;
Office analysis: Significantly improve understanding of complex office environments and financial analysis capabilities, focusing on optimizing data analysis, cross-file collaboration, and completing the complete process from information processing to delivery of documents, forms and presentations;
Game development: enhance the ability to directly generate playable prototypes based on demand, and be proficient in using game engines. Developers can continue to improve complex game projects through multiple rounds of interaction;
Scientific research: Significantly improving the ability to understand, reason and solve complex scientific research problems. Models have made great progress in various scenarios such as AI research and development, molecular dynamics simulation, condensed matter physics, and basic mathematics.
In terms of scientific exploration, Hy4 Preview collaborated with HYRA to achieve a major breakthrough in the three-dimensional Blaschke—Lebesgue geometry problem, advancing the lower volume boundary from 0.380799 to 0.41104 in one fell swoop. Compared with the 0.41986 proposed by Meissner's tetrahedral conjecture, this result finally proved that there was only a 2% gap left in this conjecture.
Hy4 preview is now open source, available on Tencent Cloud TokenHub and OpenRouter, and can be experienced on products such as WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy, Yuanbao, and ima.
