04:03 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Casino Guichard-Perrachon (CO.PA) said Friday it will defend its position before the Paris Court of Appeal after a group of term loan B lenders challenged the process for amending the French retailer's accelerated safeguard plans. The lenders initiated legal proceedings concerning the formation of classes of affected parties established as part of the proposed amendments. However, the claims were dismissed by a court-appointed judge on Aug. 17. Casino was notified Thursday of an appeal filed by the lenders on Aug. 24. The group said it remains on track with work aimed at improving its financial structure by the end of 2026.
