05:18 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's business confidence index increased to 96.9 points in August from the revised 95.7 points in July, according to data from statistics agency Istat published Friday. For the manufacturing sector, the confidence index rose to 89.9 points from the revised 89.7 points previously. Meanwhile, the Italian consumer confidence index stood at 94.5 points, against the prior 94.2 points and the expected 95 points.
