07:00 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe updated its price target and forecasts for Novo Nordisk (NOVO-B.CO), highlighting the continued commercial success of the Danish drugmaker's oral Wegovy and the company's dominant position in the diabetes/obesity market. "While immense pricing and competitive pressures from Eli Lilly and compounding pharmacies have proven to be a nightmare for Novo Nordisk in the last couple of years, we are of the view that the share price has baked in more than its fair share of pessimism. The firm still maintains a massive lead with its oral Wegovy (obesity) vs. Eli Lilly's Foundayo," analysts said Thursday. "The new management, keeping in mind oral Wegovy's commercial success until now, is unlikely to leave loose ends with regard to execution. That said, the firm needs to diversify its offerings, as excessive dependence on diabetes/obesity (c.94% of sales) doesn't assure investors, especially in the currently challenging environment for its products." Against this backdrop, the buy-rated stock's price target was increased by 1.76% to 466 Danish kroner. The research firm also revised its earnings estimates as it removed the one-off gain related to a US drug pricing program from its 2026 adjusted attributable net profit calculation, leading to a 7.31% reduction in the projected EPS for 2026 to 21.3 kroner. For 2027, the EPS forecast was increased by 5.55% to 23.1 kroner, while out-year sales and EBITDA growth estimates were trimmed to 4% from 5%.
