10:56 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Irish Continental Group (ICGC.L, IR5B.IR) on Friday confirmed that the scheme and extraordinary general meetings for the proposed takeover by Bluefin Bidco have been adjourned. The meetings, initially scheduled for the same day, will be reconvened on Sept. 10, allowing the Irish maritime transport group's shareholders to further consider the acquisition. The company said Thursday that proxy votes received as of Wednesday indicated the scheme was likely to fail. Bluefin Bidco is ultimately owned and controlled by members of ICG's senior management.
