Today, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 324 published a new website urging prospective acquirors of Mother’s Market & Kitchen stores to do their due diligence into a brewing labor dispute at this Orange County, California company.

The website provides details of workforce management issues that belie Mother’s mission to be a place “where healthy living feels easy, inspiring, and part of everyday life.”1

“Mother’s promise of healthy food relies on workers, yet workers face toxic labor practices like firing union supporters and scheduling workdays with little notice” says Jose Perez, President of UFCW Local 324. “Labor problems are fixable, and we urge potential acquirors to evaluate workforce management in their due diligence.”
