The Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption, together with the Organized Crime and Triad Investigation Division of the Hong Kong Police Force and the Competition Commission, launched a tripartite joint operation codenamed “Iron League” last week to crack down on a building maintenance corruption and tendering group headed by a project contractor. ICAC and police operations have arrested a total of 50 people, including group leaders and key members. Some of those arrested have triad backgrounds.
