05:19 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- WPP (WPP.L) intends to further trim its workforce by up to 1,000 positions during the second half as part of its restructuring program, London's Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the plans. The communications and advertising company laid off 11,000 employees since 2025, with an overall headcount of 97,388 as of June 30, 2026, according to the sources. WPP is also considering cutting one of its three building properties in London as a cost-saving measure, they added. WPP did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
