06:11 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Reckitt Benckiser Group (RKT.L) subsidiary Mead Johnson won a jury verdict in the Inman case in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the first bellwether trial against the company in federal multidistrict litigation over allegations concerning necrotizing enterocolitis, or NEC. The case involved claims that the nutrition company's Enfamil preterm infant formula causes NEC, a serious gastrointestinal condition that primarily affects premature infants, according to a Monday release. Mead Johnson said it now has no outstanding jury verdicts in the overall NEC litigation.
