Tropical Storm Edouard, is expected to bring intense conditions of heavy rain and flooding to portions of the Upper Texas and Southwestern Louisiana coasts on Tuesday.

Tropical storm Edouard officially formed on Monday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rain will impact parts of the Upper Texas coast through East-Central Texas and into Southwest Louisiana from Tuesday through Wednesday.

In light of this threat, a Storm Surge Watch was issued leading up to the named storm, with peak values of up to four feet above ground level possible for locations within the watch area.
