On September 1, according to Nissan Motor Company, Nissan Motor Company and Honda Motor Co., Ltd. have recently signed a joint development agreement. The two sides will standardize multiple electronic control units that form the core of next-generation software-defined vehicles, and also include key parts of in-vehicle operating systems, middleware, and vehicle control software running on these ECUs. The electronic and electrical architecture based on the jointly developed ECU and software is planned to be used in the next generation of SDV models of the two companies starting in FY2029.
