08:02 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research on Tuesday noted Novartis' (NOVN.SW) report that its phase 3 trials for remibrutinib met their primary endpoint of "significantly" reducing annualized relapse rate in adult patients with relapsing multiple sclerosis, compared with teriflunomide, with no liver safety issues. "We forecast $3bn un-risk adjusted peak sales for remi, with upside potential based on exact progression data[.] The positive remi MS data likely increases investor conviction in remi's potential as a [more than] $10bn asset across indications," the research firm said. "We model a total $26bn MS market and see potential for [Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitors] to replace most existing orals (c$7bn) due to better efficacy, and potential to compete in certain settings vs CD20s (c$15bn)." The buy rating on the stock was reiterated, with a price objective of 140 francs. Analysts also highlighted five data readouts as key catalysts in the second half, including the detailed phase 3 data for remibrutinib in multiple sclerosis set to be presented at MSToronto2026 meeting in October, as well as the late-stage data for remibrutinib in hidradenitis suppurativa and pelacarsen on secondary cardiovascular event prevention.
