Out with the old, in with the new. Walmart will celebrate the conversion of its East Wetmore Road store into a full-service Supercenter on Wednesday, Sept. 2,. The store will be about 180,000 square feet.

The store at 455 E. Wetmore Road was Tucson’s last remaining Walmart general merchandise location. Following the conversion, customers can now purchase fresh groceries, fill prescriptions and complete a full weekly shopping trip at the property.

The upgraded Supercenter includes an expanded fresh grocery department with produce, meat, dairy and frozen foods, along with a new deli and bakery. Walmart also updated the pharmacy with an additional private consultation room and expanded merchandise selections in automotive, fashion, consumables and health and wellness.
