02:51 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- German lawmakers are collaborating with companies from the transport, energy and industrial sectors to design a benchmark for a fully integrated hydrogen mobility ecosystem for heavy-duty transport in Europe, AB Volvo (VOLV-A.ST), d/b/a Volvo Group said Thursday. Other companies involved in the initiative include Daimler Truck Holding (DTG.F), Toyota Motor (TYT.L), Bosch, Air Liquide (AI.PA) and TotalEnergies (TTE.L, TTE.PA), among several others. The participants are working to boost the commercialization of hydrogen-powered mobility and build the ecosystem needed to scale it across the entire value chain. The plans call for the deployment of hydrogen refueling stations along key strategic corridors in Europe, in synchronization with the hydrogen-powered truck fleets as well as a competitive hydrogen price. The group plans to reveal more information at the IAA Transportation 2026 event on Sept. 15.
