The Zhitong Finance App learned that Citi released a research report saying that China's AI-driven drug discovery (AIDD) is developing at an accelerated pace, and the speed and cost advantages brought by AI have attracted the attention of a large number of investors. According to data from market research agencies, the global pharmaceutical R&D investment in 2026 is estimated at about US$313 billion, and the AIDD penetration rate is only about 6%. The bank believes that the industry has huge room for growth and predicts that the global AI drug discovery ecosystem will reach about US$50 billion by 2030, mainly focusing on the three major fields of data generation, wet laboratory verification, and AI native discovery.

Citi believes that as a hybrid enterprise with both platforms and pipelines, its AIDD proprietary platform can continuously generate “higher quality and differentiated” clinical assets and create exponential value. The bank maintains Insili Smart's “buy” rating with a target price of HK$85 and lists it as the industry's preferred stock.

For Jingtai Holdings (02228), Citi gave a target price of HK$8 for the first time. The bank believes that the company's business combines physical AI, robot experiments, and intelligent orchestration, but the depth of the product pipeline is limited, and commercial output has yet to be verified.
