Oracle, Alphabet, Valero Energy And More On CNBC’s ‘Final Trades’

On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Stephen Weiss is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of Short Hills Capital Partners picked Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (NASDAQ:GOOG).

Lending support to his choice, Rosenblatt analyst Scott Devitt assumed coverage of Alphabet on Aug. 20 with a Buy rating and set a price target of $410.

Jim Lebenthal, partner and chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, named Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) as his final trade.

Oracle will release its first-quarter fiscal year 2027 results after the closing bell on Thursday, Sept. 10. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings of $1.74 per share on revenue of $19.13 billion.

Liz Thomas, SoFi head of investment strategy, recommended iShares Gold Trust (NYSE:IAU).

Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, picked Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE:VLO).

Supporting his view, Wells Fargo analyst Sam Margolin maintained Valero Energy with an Overweight rating on Tuesday and raised the price target from $356 to $389.
