11:48 PM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alstom (ALO.PA) said Thursday it entered into a CA$4.7 billion deal to deliver 313 Adessia railway cars and related support services to train operator VIA Rail Canada. The French rail and transport equipment company added that the order will support the modernization of VIA Rail's long-distance, regional and remote fleet that connects nearly 400 communities across Canada. The delivery will also include a technical support and spare-parts supply agreement with a 15-year term.
