BP Agrees to Meet With Whiting Refinery Union Representatives

01:43 AM EDT, 09/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BP (BP.L) agreed to meet with union-elected representatives of workers at its Whiting refinery in the US. In an emailed statement to MT Newswires on Thursday, the oil and gas company said it received a response from the United Steelworkers union on Wednesday, which provided dates for BP's consideration. The response followed BP's calls for confirmation from the union regarding the continuation of negotiations on its latest pay proposal and the potential involvement of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in the talks.
