Eurozone Monthly Retail Sales Down 0.6% in July

05:12 AM EDT, 09/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's retail sales declined 0.6% month over month in July, following a revised 0.2% increase in June, according to Eurostat data published Friday. Analysts expected a 0.3% growth for the month. On a yearly basis, the eurozone's retail sales were up 0.6%, against the revised 1.4% rise earlier and the expected 1.1% gain.
