Kistos Obtains Legal Title for Two Blocks Onshore Oman

05:29 AM EDT, 09/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- London-listed energy company Kistos (KIST.L) became the legal owner of blocks 3 and 4 onshore Oman after securing a royal decree from the Sultanate of Oman, according to a Monday filing. Kistos expects completion of the sale and purchase agreement with Mitsui E&P Middle East to follow shortly. Overall, Kistos will pay $148 million for the planned purchase of blocks 3, 4 and 9. The acquisition of all three blocks will bring 25.6 million barrels of oil equivalent in proved plus probable oil and gas reserves. For 2025, production will rise by about 9,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day to 10,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
