Novo Nordisk said that simeglutide reached the main end point in the STEP Young phase 3 clinical trial. Compared with placebo, it can reduce the BMI of obese children aged 6 to 12. After 68 weeks of treatment, 40.4% of children in the simeglutide group were no longer classified as obese, compared to 0% in the placebo group.
