Eni's GreenIT JV Commences Electricity Generation at Two Solar Parks in Italy

06:14 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GreenIT, the joint venture between Eni's (ENI.MI) Plenitude unit and CDP Group's CDP Equity, began generating electricity at two new solar parks in Italy with a total installed capacity of 19 megawatts. The venture developed, built and commissioned the photovoltaic plants on sites previously used for extraction activities, according to a Tuesday release. GreenIT has over 300MW of solar projects at an advanced stage of development and expects to complete plants with a combined 30MW capacity in Italy between late 2026 and early 2027. Plenitude owns 51% of GreenIT, with the remaining 49% stake held by CDP Equity.
