05:20 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Volkswagen (VOW.F, VOW3.F) is looking into a strategic partnership with Indian steel-to-energy conglomerate JSW Group as it seeks to expand its footprint in the South Asian country, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a company spokesperson. The companies are exploring a two-party partnership with joint control, defined operational roles and governance mechanisms, the spokesperson said. They will also explore ways ⁠to boost local sourcing, share vehicle platforms and raise production capacity. The German carmaker did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
