10:31 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's upgraded National Atomic Co Kazatomprom's (KAP.L) baseline credit assessment to baa2 from baa3 and confirmed its Baa1 long-term issuer rating, with a stable outlook. The upgrade mirrors the uranium miner's robust operating and financial performance and high profitability, among other factors, according to a Tuesday release. Meanwhile, the stable outlook reflects Moody's expectation that the company's operating and financial performance, as well as credit metrics and liquidity, will not deteriorate significantly. It also aligns with the outlooks of the Kazakh government and Kazatomprom's 75% owner, the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna.
