PETALING JAYA: Hubline Bhd confirms that its unit Layang Layang Aerospace Sdn Bhd (LLA) operated the helicopter involved in the fatal accident at the Long Lellang Short Take-Off and Landing Airport (STOLport) in Sarawak on Sept 8.

The helicopter, bearing the registration 9M-LLF, was operating a Flying Doctor Service (FDS) flight with five people on board, including the pilot.

On Tuesday, the pilot and four Health Ministry personnel on FDS duty were killed when the helicopter crashed near Long Lellang STOLport in Ulu Baram, Sarawak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, HUBLine said LLA had activated its Emergency Response Plan and was working closely with the relevant authorities, including the Air Accident Investigation Bureau under the Transport Ministry.

The company expressed its condolences to the families and loved ones of those on board and said LLA was providing all possible assistance.
