01:24 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Odfjell Drilling (ODL.OL) secured a three-year contract from Vår Energi (VAR.OL) for the Deepsea Bergen semi-submersible rig, starting in early 2028. The Norwegian drilling and engineering company said Thursday that the estimated contract value of firm backlog under the letter of intent stands at $518 million. The contract award extends Deepsea Bergen's firm contract backlog to the first quarter of 2031.
