02:35 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GSK (GSK.L) secured approval from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for the prefilled syringe presentation of its shingles vaccine, Shingrix. The biopharmaceutical company said Thursday that approvals for the ready-to-use prefilled syringe are based on data confirming technical comparability between the new and existing presentation. It said the new presentation does not entail a change in indication or dosing. Shingrix in a prefilled syringe was launched in the US in February and is planned for launch in Europe within 2026.
