02:53 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Orexo's (ORX.ST) US subsidiary received an additional $3 million from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority for the OX390 project, the Swedish pharmaceutical company said Thursday. The additional funding will extend the initial development stage of OX390, an intranasal rescue medication to treat respiratory depression associated with adulterated opioid overdoses, from March 2027 through the end of 2027. It increases the overall potential value of the contract, initially awarded in September 2025, to $53.8 million from $50.9 million. Orexo said the funding will also support the potential submission to and approval by the US Food and Drug Administration.
