03:55 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Corrects headline and Debenhams ticker) Debenhams Group (DEBS.L), formerly named boohoo group, sold the automation in its distribution center in Sheffield, UK, and reassigned the lease to Associated British Foods' (ABF.L) Primark Stores for 90 million pounds sterling in cash. The British retailer received 76.5 million pounds on completion, with the remaining 13.5 million pounds due upon vacant possession in early 2027. Separately, Debenhams signed an agreement with a third-party logistics provider to continue fulfilling its stocked products. The transaction is expected to significantly reduce the company's leverage, with net debt expected to be "negligible" by the end of the fiscal year ending February 2027.
