On a per-share basis, the Columbus, Ohio-based company said it had profit of 31 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 34 cents per share.

The footwear and accessories retailer posted revenue of $730.6 million in the period.

Designer Brands expects full-year earnings in the range of 47 cents to 52 cents per share.
