$187 million commercial contract for initial phase of Tomorrow.io’s planned global satellite constellation

York Space Systems (York) (NYSE:YSS), a leading, US-based national defense and commercial prime providing a comprehensive suite of mission-enabling solutions, will serve as prime contractor for the initial phase of DeepSky, Tomorrow.io’s next-generation early warning constellation, delivering dozens of satellites on York’s flight-proven M-CLASS platform. The $187 million contract, previously disclosed in March, covers the initial phase of the planned proliferated low-Earth orbit constellation.

DeepSky will operate as a proliferated network of multi-instrument spacecraft, designed to close long lasting global gaps in atmospheric and oceanic measurements. York’s M-CLASS platform is uniquely suited to accommodate the full instrument suite Tomorrow.io is employing for DeepSky, with the size, power, onboard processing and thermal management to run active sensors including precipitation radar over every part of the globe, day and night. As prime contractor, York owns end-to-end program delivery for the initial phase, giving Tomorrow.io a single accountable partner from spacecraft manufacture through payload integration.
